Privacy policy

NDC Technologies AB, trading as Nordec, company registration number 559262-6641, registered in Sweden, is the controller of the personal data described here.

We only collect what you send us. Through the enquiry form on our contact page that is: your name, company, email address, phone number if you give one, country or factory location, details about your reel inventory, storage area, current storage method and systems in use, a layout plan reference if you add one, and your message. If you arrive from a product page, the product you were looking at is included so we know what your enquiry is about.

We use these details for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and assess a suitable smart rack configuration for your site. We do not use them for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Please don't send us personal data you don't need to — a reel list or a layout drawing rarely needs anyone's personal details in it.

Handling a business enquiry you sent us rests on our legitimate interest in responding to it, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not run a newsletter and we do not ask for marketing consent, because we don't send marketing email.

Two kinds of provider process the data on our behalf: the hosting and database platform that runs this website, and the email delivery service that carries the notification of your enquiry to us and the confirmation back to you. They act on our instructions only, under data processing agreements, and where any transfer outside the EU/EEA occurs it is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Beyond that, only Peter and Adam at Nordec read your enquiry. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and to follow up on a possible project, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a contract or a legal obligation such as bookkeeping requires us to keep specific records for longer. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

This website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers or any other profiling technology, so there is nothing here to consent to. The only cookies that may be set are technical ones strictly necessary to run the site and remember interface state on your device.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Embedding our ROI calculator on your own site does not send us personal data about your visitors.

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, have our processing restricted, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format. Write to adam@nordectech.com and we'll answer within one month.

If you're not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskydds­myndigheten, IMY), imy.se, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Enquiry data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever affected your data and posed a risk to you, we would notify you and the authority as the GDPR requires.

If we change how we handle personal data — for example if we ever introduce analytics or a newsletter — we will update this page and the date above, and ask for consent where consent is required.
