Overview

The NORDEC Mobile Smart Shelf is a castor-mounted unit with an onboard touchscreen and four freely configurable layers, so 7", 13" and 15" reels can be mixed in one cart. It suits kitting workflows, line refill and small-batch changeovers where the shelf travels to the line instead of the operator travelling to the shelf. Capacity depends entirely on how the four layers are configured and on the reel and tape mix, so it is quoted per configuration. The touchscreen handles pick guidance and reel registration on the cart itself.

Step 1

Receive

Scan the shelf or cart and the reel, place it in the position shown, and finish the transaction. The reel is now registered to a location.

Step 2

Request

Select the pick list and the storage unit it should be picked from.

Step 3

Pick

LEDs indicate the required reel positions. The light switches off once the reel has been removed.

Step 4

Complete

The transaction is closed and the picked reels leave the registered locations.
